The moments are fleeting!
Before we become a family of four, I want to stop and reflect on the past three and a half years when we were just a family of three. It seems like I’ve been a mom forever. I don’t remember what life was before Elisa. She has taught me so much about motherhood.
Recently, I was doing up Elisa’s photo book and gosh, the pregnant me had a hard time controlling my emotions! We have created so many memories together and I’ve cherished every single one of it even when the moments were hard. From the day she was born, to our first family holiday, to the day she started school and all those wonderful memories are safely tucked away in my heart.
In a short span of three and a half years, we have watched Elisa blossom into the girl she is today. I have so much to say about this girl, she makes us so very proud of her. On the family front, it wasn’t butterflies and roses at first. Parenthood is tough that you think but we’ve learned to swallow our pride and we have grown so much stronger since.
It won’t be long until baby no 2 arrives. I’m going to spend the next few weeks savouring every moment we spend with Elisa and ask for as many cuddles and kisses as possible.
No matter what happened, she will always be our number 1 baby. Soon a new chapter of our lives will begin and I can’t wait to capture the memories we will be sharing as a family of four.
It’s been a while since I stepped foot on this blog. To be honest, I was thinking of shutting down this blog. Firstly, I am not discipline in maintaining this blog, my last post was 7 months ago!! Secondly, I feel uninspired to write anything. 9 out of 10 times, I will stare blankly at the monitor and end up checking Instagram and doing what nots!
The other day as I was reading through my old blog post, a lot of memories were unearthed – wonderful memories, not so wonderful memories and almost forgotten memories. Then I remembered the main reason I blog is because I want to capture the memories I go through in my life be it good or bad, major or minor life changes. I want to document everything!
A lot of things happened in the last 7 months and I realised memories will soon wither away if I did not document it, never mind that I am not good at writing.
So, I will try my best to update this blog as much as I can. I want my children to be able to have a glimpse of what my live and their lives used to be when they grow up!
On New Year’s Day morning, we took a slow walk to Hardware Lane to check if Hardware Societe (another highly recommended cafe in Melbourne) is open. We knew the chances of them opening is extremely low as most shops were closed on New Year’s Day. But we still went ahead as the weather on that day was quite pleasant for a stroll.True enough, it was closed. But C stumbled upon #Hash (a rare cafe that was opened on that day!) which is opposite Hardware Societe. No queue!! And we were promptly offered a table. Within a few seconds, a queue was formed! How lucky! 😉
Again, I was tossing between a few items on the menu but eventually, I went for my standard breakfast fare which is bacon and eggs because I’m boring like that! I so wanted the maple glazed bacon but I wasn’t clear when I placed my orders. Oh well.C ordered eggs with chorizo and smashed avocados. His looked and tasted so much nicer than my boring bacon and eggs! Now, we know chorizo and avocado goes well together. Make a guess what I’ll be making for breakfast this weekend? 😉
We are in Melbourne, you can’t find bad coffee in Melbourne! The little one finished half the portion of my scrambled eggs and bacon. She has a very big appetite!
We thoroughly enjoyed our first meal of the year!
If we do come back again, I would love to try their hot chocolate. You pour the hot chocolate over the fairy floss which will sweeten the 85% Cacao Chocolate. So gimmicky but so clever!

How is it that today is already December? I feel like the entire year, especially the last few months just whizzed by without me being aware of it. I barely remember them!
But I have to say, I love December. LOVE! December.
There are so many fun things to look forward to…our anniversary, C’s birthday, Christmas, all the feasting and drinking. I can feel the fatigue just by thinking about all the programs lining up!
It will be a very packed and exciting month!
One of the biggest markets to attend in the Melbourne is the Camberwell Sunday Market. It is a popular trash and treasure market, the place to go if you are looking for second hand goods.
This market is huge. There are stall after stall selling collectibles, vintage clothing, trinkets, crockery, books, toys and what nots. As long as they are second hand, it’s laid out here in the market.
We spent the whole morning wandering through the market, stopping at almost every crockery stall hoping to uncover that hidden vintage plate 😛
Well, I didn’t buy any plates (bought too many plates this trip!) but neither did we leave the market empty handed 😉

Sorry for the blog silence. We were without internet connection for the past couple of weeks. Now that the connection is back on, I can finally blog again!
During my absence in blogosphere, I was busy clearing the house and getting the nursery ready for the lil’ bub. Now I have to admit I am a biiit of a hoarder (which I have been denying all this while). There were so much rubbish that I have collected over the years! Gosh!
The guest room cum study is done. The loft bed is up, the study table, shelf and sofa bed are in place. We had a few friends over one weekend to help with putting up the bed and moving the furniture. A big thank you to you and you and you! 🙂
What left to do now is the nursery. It’s almost done, just need to finish it off with some decors and it will be ready for its first occupant 🙂
p/s: this bed has been with us for close to 9 years.
looking at it brings back so many wonderful memories 🙂
