Our favorite part of Paris. If we can only choose one place to park ourselves in Paris, it has to be Montmartre – the artsy neighborhood of Paris, the old Paris. Montmartre is like a village; people go shopping for groceries, walk their dog and water their plants on their balconies.
Sits atop the hill of Montmartre is The Basilica of Sacré Coeur. It is amazing to see from the outside, we were going to go inside but as it was near closing time, we gave it a miss 😦 We ended up on the steps and relished in the views of the city which was spectacular.
When night falls, Montmartre transformed into a magical place. Lights came out and illuminated the charm of Montmartre. Be it day or night, walking around the cobblestone streets of Montmartre is a pleasure itself. We took a slow stroll back to the hotel, hand in hand and reveled in our last few hours in Paris.
