When we were planning for our summer holiday to London, Paris just had to be included in our plans, as all along, it was my wish to visit the City of Love with the hubs. After spending a few days in London, we took a short Eurostar ride across the English Channel to Paris. It was a lovely sunny day with clear blue skies in Paris, totally different from London’s “lost summer”.
After an easily accessible metro ride and a short walk, we found ourselves at Mercure Montmartre Sacre Coeur, our home for the next two days. As this was our first visit to Paris, we were not sure if we made a right choice choosing to stay at this area. All we know is that it is near the red light district.
We got a privilege room with rooftops views of Paris. Yes, LITERALLY rooftops. Haha. We got a good deal for the hotel, so we are not complaining 🙂 The room size was decent and nicely done, with a modern twist. Service is good compared to the notoriously poor service in some places about Paris. And the staff speak good English (thumbs up!) and are always looking to assist in anyway they can 🙂
Although it is a little out of the way from the usual tourist stomps, it has its own charm. We couldn’t be happier with our selection 😀
